September 2019 LSAT

September 2019 LSAT — Explained

Many of you have asked us how the “free LSAT” will work for July test-takers.

Can I sign up for September after I see my July score?

No. The registration deadline for the September LSAT is August 1, 2019. But you won’t see your July LSAT score until August 28, 2019. So if you might take the September LSAT (and most people should consider keeping that option open), then register for it by August 1, 2019:

If I decide to cancel my July score, can I take the September LSAT for free?

No. If you decide to cancel your July LSAT score, you can take only one of the following tests for free:

  • Monday, October 28, 2019
  • Monday, November 25, 2019
  • Monday, January 13, 2020
  • Saturday, February 22, 2020
  • Monday, March 30, 2020
  • Saturday, April 25, 2020

If you want to take the September LSAT, you’ll need to pay and register for it by August 1, 2019. Even if you decide to cancel your July score, LSAC won’t reimburse you for the September LSAT. You can only take your free test between October 2019 and April 2020.

If I decide to keep my July score, can get a refund for September?

No. Because you will get your July score on August 28—one week after the refund deadline for the September LSAT—you can’t get a refund for the September LSAT. Regardless, the refund is only $50 of the $200 registration fee, so keep your September registration in case you decide to retake the test in September after you see your July score.
